Issued July 6th, 2009 by an Independant Sound Testing Lab, Quest Engineering Solutions, Boston, MA.
 
Test was requested of us, by Mecho Shade Inc.  The test was aimed at determining a noise level below the "customers' requested level, of 42 dbA".
 
The motors were registered at the following levels, exactly one meter away, from the running motors.
 
     35 mm motor test to: 25.4 dbA  Model DM35S6
     45 mm motor test to: 24.4 dbA  Model DM45Q6
 
Motors tested were both of 6 Nm Torque (shade style tubular motors), built by Torque Master Tubular Motors, & Drives.


 Note the customer requested we sound test these motors against Somfy's Sonesse motor, which test at 44 dBA, as per Sonesse motor specification sheet.
